THE BACK SIDE

Is a transitive dance along the No-Make-Alley ( in Japanesse Suppin Douri) a back street at Yamaguchi City, a colection of alleys connected by a 20 minutes walk to arrive from the north of the city to its market. It´s name was used in old times when female peasants wanted to arrive to the market without using any make up. Maybe today this story is not more than a myth recolled by but a few persons. Even the exit of the alley to the market is blocked today by a new bush, and its path interrupted by new open and transited streets. But the untold stories continue there, and continune being created by the inhabitants of those back gardens and windows, and its abandoned houses and watch dogs. The Back Side is a transitive dance inhabiting the back side of Yamaguchi City´s daily life.
