I got to know the Alexander Technique in 2001 as a part of my BA studies as a dancer in the University of the Arts in Amsterdam (where I graduated in 2005). Since then I practice and integrate the technique in every activity. 

I periodically visited the teachers school directed by Arie Jan Hoorweg: Alexandertechniek Opleiding Amsterdam (ATOM)  in my first years of contact with the technique, and also visited scholls in Berlin and New York.

 I began my studies to become a teacher when I returned to Buenos Aires in 2010 at the Alexander Technique School of Buenos Aires, under the direction of Merran Poplar, where I graduated in November 2013 , with the support of the National Arts Council of Argentina and the certification of   "The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique". (STAT - London)

 

 

I also took private lessons with  Georgia Dias (Br), Caren Bayer y John Nichols (New York),

Helga Langen, Arianne Dijktras y tuve oportunidad de trabajar grupalmente con Tom Koch (Amsterdam) and Ann Rodiger (New York)

I am currently teaching private lessons and group classes in different spaces in Buenos aires and oscatioanlly colaborate teaching at Escuela de Técnica Alexander de Buenos Aires ETABA.

 

In my Alexander Technique classes and course I integrate my knowledge of the diverse modern and postmodern dance techniques (which I studied professionally) and classical ballet, ice figure skating and martial arts (qigong, taichi y kung fu) which I practice since  2006 in diverse schools of Europe and Argentina.

 

Martial Arts:

taichi and qigong at Oriental College with Rene Goris, Amsterdam 2006-2007 and at  Wudang Deutschland with Ismet Himmet -  Berlin (2009), Aikido at  Aikido Zen Berlincon Gerhard Walter (2009) , Wushu at Club Argentino de Wushu with Chen Min, traditional long fist kung fu at Kung Fu school Shen-Xian dirigida with Jesús Landazabal (2012-2014), Tai Chi and Kung Fu Choy Li Fat  at Centro San Ti with Jerónimo Milo (2014), I recentely practiced Tai chi Yang style with Alexander Technique by Caren Bayer (New York- Febrero y Marzo 2015)

 

Modern and Postmodern dance:

I first trained as a dancer in Buenos Aires between 1997 and 2001 and in Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2005. Since then I work as an independent artist creating in residencies and comanies around the world. : Akiyoshidai International Arts Village , Yamaguchi, Japón, ( Jan.-March, 2010), MIKS company in London, [FEVER] (Sept. 2009 - June 2010 ),  The Performance Corporation at Castletownhouse, Cellbridge, Irland.  (March 2009),  Festival Buenos Aires Danza 2010 , Trisha Brown Dance Company , Documenta 12 in 2007, Kassel Germany.

Through my carreer I train regurously in the following techniques: Classical Ballet, Graham Technique, Cunningham Technique , Limón Technique , Flying Low, Contact Improvisation, Klein Technique, Axis Sylabus, acrobatics, Release Technique, Body Mind Centering, Forsythe technique, Laban choreology, among others. I studied improvisation and composition with Julyen Hamilton, Nienke Reehorst, David Zambrano, Angellique Willkie and Sidi Larbi Chercaoui, Benoit Lechambre, Katie Duck, Mark Tompkins, Andrew Harwood, Mathilde Monnier, Martin Kilvady and Chrysa Parkinson.
